This past week, our Environmental Science classes and a handful of Conservation Club members joined forces to help clean up litter on Mentor Headlands Beach. They collected over 4,000 pieces of small plastic, 200 plastic bottle caps, 300 cigarette butts and cigar tips, and 127 straws. Litter data will be sent to the Alliance for the Great Lakes Adopt-a-Beach program. A special thank you to Mrs. Ford and Miss Parey for organizing this meaningful event for our students!
